On December 2, 2024, BeLuThai was pleased to co-host an insightful automotive seminar and panel discussion with the Thai European Business Association (TEBA) on the topic of "Future Mobility in Thailand: Embracing EU Market Dynamics, EV Trends, and Global Trade Challenges." With over 80 participants and contributions from distinguished speakers and panelists, including BeLuThai member Mr. Gael Boussière of Umicore (Thailand), the event covered critical topics shaping the future of mobility. Special thanks to the TEBA team and supporting partners for their dedication to advancing sustainable innovation in Thailand’s automotive industry.

On December 3, 2024, Ms. Siriporn Wutthilaohaphan, President of BeLuThai, had the honor of attending the launch of Global Culinary Stories, a book that introduces the cuisines of various countries, compiled by Ms. Kathleen Pokrud, Foreign Affairs Advisor of Elite+ magazine. The book features recipes from 45 ambassadors, including those from Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as two royal dishes graciously shared by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The event, inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, brought together over 200 distinguished guests to celebrate culinary diplomacy and enjoy a tasting of the featured royal dishes.

In addition, we would like to share with travelers that Suvarnabhumi Airport has introduced automated eGates for outbound foreign travelers with electronic passports. The new system aims to streamline the boarding process and ease congestion. These eGates, which process passengers in just 20 seconds, are expected to significantly boost efficiency, increasing the airport's capacity from 5,000 to 12,000 passengers per hour. This initiative aligns with the government’s tourism policy and addresses delays, ensuring smoother travel while maintaining strict security checks for those requiring manual processing.
