Mrs. Sibille de Cartier d’Yves, Belgian Ambassador to Thailand, recently awarded the “Officer of the Order of Leopold” to Master Chef Nooror Somany Steppe and her husband, Mr. Karl Steppe, at a reception at her residence. This highest Belgian honor acknowledges their over 40 years of service and Master Chef Nooror's global promotion of Thai cuisine through the Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant Bangkok since 1980. The Order of Leopold, Belgium’s oldest and highest honor, was established in 1832.
