Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, B Medical Systems has been working with governments and major healthcare bodies across the world to cater to the various refrigeration requirements to support the fight against COVID-19. In the initial stages, the company supported customers across the world with its refrigeration solutions for storing the test specimens, followed by the refrigeration requirements associated with therapeutic remedies, such as convalescent plasma therapy. Today, with the roll-out of vaccines, B Medical Systems has been working together with various Governments across the world (USA, Germany, Luxembourg, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc.) to strengthen their vaccine cold chain infrastructure.
B Medical Systems’ COVID-19 vaccine response portfolio includes Ultra-Low Freezers, Ice Lined Refrigerators/ Freezers, Solar Direct Drive Refrigerators/Freezers, Laboratory Refrigerators, and Transport Boxes, offering storage and transport temperatures in the range of +8°C to -86°C. The Ultra-Low Freezers can be used for storing vaccines at a temperature ranging from -86°C to -20°C, offering a versatile solution for the storage of both Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines, while the multi-mode refrigerator/freezer (TCW3000AC) can work either as a vaccine freezer or a vaccine refrigerator offering storage temperatures in the range of -20°C to +8°C.
All the Ice-lined refrigerators (ILRs) and Solar Direct Drive (SDD) refrigerators from B Medical Systems offer safe and reliable storage temperatures ranging from +2°C to +8°C, even in areas with a lack of reliable electricity. Finally, the transport boxes from B Medical Systems can be used for transporting vaccines at -70°C, -20°C, or 4°C, offering a one-stop solution for all transportation needs.
In Southeast Asia, during the last couple of quarters, the company has been working extensively to supply reliable vaccine cold chain units to cater to the needs of COVID-19 vaccine rollouts across the region, specifically in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. While some of these projects are funded directly by the governments, the program in Vietnam is also partly funded by international humanitarian agencies like WHO/GAVI/UNICEF. The regional partner network and the established logistical links help B Medical Systems to ensure an effective and efficient delivery and installation across the region.
In 2019 B Medical Systems opened a subsidiary in the United States of America and more recently announced the opening of its manufacturing plant in India to cater to the needs of the Asian market.
